We have a simple, but robust mission: to help people in need. We do that by focusing on community-based efforts including providing free health check up and treatment camps to poor and needy ones at their doorsteps, health awareness programme to teach them healthy lifestyles, protecting our nature, protecting our arts and culture and encourage the young generation to work hard for upliftment of the society. We want to make a difference.
If you have able hands, we want your help. Whether it’s educating illiterate people, plantation by the side of a road, playing a role in drama, composing and singing a song for the society, writing a poem or article for the social cause or collecting donations, we need you. And so do communities in need.
We’re continually working hard to improve communities throughout the state. If you’re interested to see what we’ve been doing recently (especially if you want to help), check out our recent activities.
I have been incredibly fortunate in my life to be born in a small village of Assam, West Bengal and Bangladesh border where I have not even gone through a newspaper on the same day it was published during my school life. So I can understand the actual meaning of developement. I saw many poor suffering from and dying from simple ailments like malaria, diarrhea. I think it’s a shame that in a country as great as ours, anyone should suffer this way. People are too poor to afford current health care costs. Lack of awareness regarding physical, social, psychological health is another big issue.
With that desire in my heart, I preside over The Heart. We’re all looking to make a difference in our world and I believe that by focusing on communities, we’re going to make the most substantial impact. The world is made up of these important social connections and if you foster them positively, they’ll pay huge dividends – in love, care, and a better world.
